Description

The Great Carina Nebula (G.C.N., NGC 3372) lies in a giant molecular cloud complex described by
T.J. Sodroski, and designated Sodroski 62. This complex is populated with a host of DSOs, many of which
are discernable through binoculars.

Immediately to the north-west of the G.C.N. lie two prominent open star clusters, NGC 3293 & NGC 3324,
each with its associated bright nebula. I have made these two clusters the subject of the following two
images.

With this image I have combined H-I, H-II and O-III emission data with the normal RGB data to reveal more
of the complex nature of the enveloping giant molecular cloud.
