Description

The Helix Nebula, known by astronomers as NGC 7293, is a planetary nebula. The remnant central stellar core is destined to become a white dwarf. 

Imaging information:
Object: NGC 7293
Exposure: 500x10" with the RASA, 93x300 with the ES ED 127
Bortle scale: 3/4
Telescope: RASA 8" ES ED 127
Camera: ZWO ASI2600MC Pro
Mount: Sky-watcher EQ6R-Pro
Filters: Astronomic CLS on the RASA, no filter on the ES ED 127
Software: PixInsight and tweaked in Photoshop
Date: Imaged with the RASA on August 25 and 28, 2022. Imaged in July 2023 by the ES ED 127.
