Description

I wanted to capture the wispy nebulosity in this region, hence the offset framing of the Tulip itself.

I used the H-alpha data to create a synthetic luminance channel and also to help supplement the red. It's a tricky process trying to keep the stars from being affected, so I blend the results from different processes using Pixelmath to yield an image that is acceptable to me.

Taken over 4 nights from light polluted skies, 7/16, 7/17, 7/22, and 7/24
