Description

For my first big project with a mono camera, I pointed a rarely imaged target, the remnant of supernova W63, or SNR (G082.2+05.3), located in the northern part of Cygnus constellation. The light from its explosion would have reached the earth around 15,000 years ago.
I found quite little info on this object, which seems to have been discovered quite recently.
The "shell" of gas measuring about 150 light-years in diameter is very weak, and emits almost exclusively in OIII wave length, in an environment quite rich in Ha and SII.
It took a little bit over 40 hours of exposure, over 10 nights between May 10 and July 2, to complete this project.
