Description

The Swan nebula (NGC 6618) is an H II region in the constellation Sagittarius. It is some of the richest starfields of the Milky Way, figuring in the northern two-thirds of Sagittarius. It lies 5,500 light-years swat and has a diameter or 22 L-Y.
