Description

My first-time version. I took the Sky-Watcher October challenge of the month and had a go at this object from Bortle 9. I'm happy with this after a lot of experimenting to get something with just H and S. Took the time to get some RGB stars, for a grand total of 34 hr 11min. Love the details, there's a lot more there than I was expecting.

IC 63 is 610 light-years distant. It is faint at apparent mag. +10, and has extremely low surface brightness surrounds bright variable star gamma Cas (γ Cas). This star is partly unstable and is known as a "shell star". It currently shines at mag. +2.15, making it the brightest star in Cassiopeia.
