After 2 months of cloudy nights, yesterday was the night to try to catch the Horsehead nebula for my 2nd time. The result is much better than last year. However the night didn’t go all smooth.
The raspberry pi wasn’t cooperating… took a while to get Wi-Fi. I have updated the stellarmate during the last months and I couldn’t get it to work properly, couldn’t plate solve, INDI changed the connection to the star adventurer had to fix that also. the polar alignment was difficult to achieve, somehow wasn’t able to get subs with more than 1min. lost almost 3 hours of exposure due to solve all this issues first. And to get the cherry on top of the cake, the fog came also later on, so had to stop the subs…
Even so I am very pleased with the final result. Also first time trying an extender. Next time I will skip it to see the differences. Not the last time visiting this horse
