Description

This is a new project I've been working on.  I'm still figuring lots of things out.  I caught this over the past week or so imaging on 3 different nights using 2 different filters.  I liked the results of a previous session on the California Nebula where I used a couple of my narrow band filters in conjunction with my ASI533MC camera to create an image from both sets of subs.  This one did not disappoint either.  I especially like this as 2 of the days I imaged were last night and the night before and we've been almost at a full moon.  I was imaging at about a right angle to the moon but still there was considerable sky glow.  Last night I had to change my guide exposure from 2 sec to 1 sec as the sky glow was too bright at 2 sec exposures for the guide camera to follow.  That one simple adjustment did the trick but as they say, there is just no substitute to getting out and doing the work.  You learn by the doing.

I love the detail in the gas clouds the Ultimate filters brings out.  You can just make out the edges of pyres forming like in the famous Eagle Nebula of Hubble.  There are similar structures that are visible in this nebula too.
