Description

The galaxy upper right  is NGC 891 -  a SA(s)b? edge-on galaxy. It's distance is comparable by independent estimate (31.3 million light years) and by redshift estimate (34.1 million light years). This image also shows the Abell 347 galaxy group in this region of the sky. Group members include NGC 898, 906, 909, 910, 911, 912, 913, 914, and 923. This field has numerous  background galaxies which are visible in this image.  Some Quasars  are also visible in this image as well. The visible Quasars range from 3.51 to 10.8 billion light years lookback.   These objects, information, background galaxies and some of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated image.
