Description

IC 410, located in the northern constellation of Auriga, is a faint and dusty emission nebula more than 100 light-years across and about 12,000 light-years distant .
Notable are two streamers of material, known as the “Tadpoles of IC410”. These 'tadpoles', which consist of denser, cooler gas and dust, are approximately 10 light-years long and potentially sites of ongoing star formation. They are just right of center.

I wanted at least 10 hours on this nebula splitting time between the Antlia (Ha & OIII) and my Askar D2 (OIII & SII) filters. My second night of imaging using just the D2 pretty much failed due to wind and clouds. This image is the first night using just the Antlia.
