Description

I was evaluating a Stellarvue SVX140T last month, with the intent to buy it from my buddy.
I have posted several of those images.
I detected issues with the optic, which caused issues with the stars, and with flat fielding.
The decision was made to send it back to Stellarvue for evaluation.
Credit to Vic at Stellarvue, who after evaluating it, indicated he did not want an optic like that out there, and he put in a brand new objective, for free, on a 4 year old scope with no warrantee!
This is customer service, above and beyond, Kudos to Stellarvue!!!

So, last night was my first go with the SVX140T, returned to me with the brand new objective.
I planned to go to a dark site, but dry running the rig at home before I left, I had to deal with a few gremlins....
By the time I got it all working, it was close to sunset, and did not want to drive out there and be setting up in the dark. So I stayed at home. Seeing was average at best last night.

So here is my first light with the new objective in the SVX140T.
Standard LRGB processing, with PI gradient correction, SPCC, BlurX, GHS, NoiseX, and some curve work. Didn't try more sharpening on this effort just so I could see how the optics are doing.
I am glad to say the optics are now performing top notch, like they should from and SVX scope.

Only got 4 hours integration on this last night due to spending some time checking out the optics, but I am now very happy with what I see.

Thanks for looking
Clear Skies!
-Pete
