Description

Hi

This is  my most ambitious project so far. I've  seen zillions  of pictures  taken of NGC 5907 alone. 99,9% of  them - in  the  field, there's galaxy only . Since  I read somewhere and  then saw there was a hideously faint stream around  the galaxy, I decided  THIS is my project. I  adore  either shooting things no one  else  does, or in a  way no one  else  does. The  galaxy itself is  nothing special - rather  popular, beautiful, edge positioned, like  the Needle in Coma Verenices (NGC 4565). But the streams around  are quite a  different thing. I could not  not see  any  of them at all even after 30 hours of imaging. Funny! So I turned on my stubbornness in  turbo mode and  kept shooting till I could see some  faint  structures...in a  cost of too much noise. So at last - it  took me around 2 years and  23 nights of  shooting  and  much more of post processing  attempts, to spit out this final picture. Interesting  part of what I read in  the  ~pedias, there is  no consent of how many these  streams really are. When discovered  and described  fist, they were 2. Recent pictures  show...just one

So - technical details

Red, Blue, Green channels taken 2 hours  each.
Ha - 10 hours  total.
Luminance - 799 subs -66 hrs 30 minutes...and  some  deleted...

Overall exposure 82 hrs  30 mins.

Many thanks  to Ivan Raichev  "Sektor", who separated the  main image drom the  stars  for  me.

Well -  that's  it! sigh...
