Description

=ILfuVd=hgKElcSpiral galaxy M33 is located in the triangle-shaped constellation =c5aZPb=JPfdseTriangulum, earning it the nickname the Triangulum galaxy. About half the size of our Milky Way galaxy, M33 is the third-largest member of our =c5aZPb=JPfdseLocal Group of galaxies following the Andromeda galaxy (M31) and the Milky Way.

This project was the first I've tried using the continuum subtraction technique, after noticing that StarXT was removing non-stellar H-alpha from my HOO master (OSC taken with IDAS NBZ filter).

Three separate attempts at processing this led to three significantly different results. I'm still learning how to handle processing OSC dual-narrowband, and I've tweaked quite a few of my process icons and techniques while working on this.

This image is composed of three sets of data:
  1. OSC RGB subs shot at 60s to be used with HDRComposition.
  2. OSC RGB subs shot at 120s to be used with HDRComposition.
  3. HOO data taken with IDAS NBZ filter, split into Ha and Oiii channels, and then processed with the continuum subtraction technique above, and then each channel was added to the RGB data after it was mostly processed.
