Description

I managed to process my data from 29 and 30th of July 2021. For those nights I chose a part of the sky in the Cepheus/Cassiopeia constellations which included several objects which could be fit in the FOV of my system. As always I imaged from the city right under the city lights. Here is what I got:

- NGC 7510 - a 7th magnitude Open Cluster with a physical diameter of 20 light years and distance from our solar system of 11 000 light years. Apparent size - 6 archmin.
- M52 - a 7.3 magnitude Open Cluster with a physical diameter of 15 light years and distance from our solar system of 5 000 light years. Apparent size - 15 archmin.
- Sh2-157 - Lobster Claw Nebula - an emission Nebula with a physical diameter of 759 light years and distance from our solar system of 43 000. Apparent size - 60x50 archmin. It turns out as per some sources in the net that the brighter small spot inside the Lobster Claw Nebula is SH2-157a or Lyn's Bright Nebula 537.
- Sh2-158/NGC 7538 - The Northern Lagoon Nebula - An emission Nebula with apparent size - 10x5 archmin.
- Sh2-159 - an emission Nebula. Apart from that, there is no more specific data for this object.
- Sh2-161 - an emission Nebula with apparent size - 90x50 archmin. Data for this object is scarce as well despite its obvious location - next to the Bubble Nebula...
- SH2-162/NGC 7635 - The famous Bubble Nebula - 12 magnitude planetary nebula. Situated 11 000 light years from us, it is 10 light years across. It is stated that it was created by a fierce stellar wind from the hot young massive central star which has blasted out the structure of glowing gas against denser material in a surrounding molecular cloud. The central star - SAO 20575 is thought to have a mass of 10-20 solar masses.
- several planetary nebulas which I guess are quite small because I do not see them.

This image contains quite a catch. I am happy that I am able to see this part of the sky in such detail and from the roof of my home.

Clear Skies!
Ivan
