I learned a lot last night. My Gemini G11 Gemini 1 actually doesn't take to pulse guiding in PHD2 but does remarkably well using the ST-4 cable. I got stable and consistent guiding and could have opted for subs of several minutes instead of the conservative 30 sec subs that I chose for the image of M57 taken last night 7-26-22. M57 was quite near the zenith. My main problem is that my OMC300 with Apertura 0.75x focal reducer used with my ZWO ASI533MC camera produces a FOV of only 18 x 18 arc minutes. The focal length of the rig was determined to be 2137mm. APT's Point Craft plate solving algorithms consistently failed to put M57 in the camera's FOV, but it did put me in the near vicinity. Still, I had to find and center it manually in the end. Overall, is wasn't a bad imaging run. I took the subs from my 2nd floor Trex deck. It was Bortle 5 and clear with no wind.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
