Description

The sky area around a very old star cluster NGC6791 contains both hot subdwarfs and a carbon star. Hot subdwarfs are one of the hottest stars in the Universe with effective temperatures about 20000..40000K, the annotated revision B labels those hot blue dots. On the other hand carbon stars are one of the coldest: the U Lyr star at the upper right corner has an effective temperature about 2400K.

There is a faint reflection nebula Saloranta GN J1921.3+3743 at the lower left part of the image. Bortle 6 sky and a rather short integration time did not allow to properly reveal the nebula. It would make the image even more beautiful. I hope the weather will allow me to get more data for this interesting object.
