Description

IC-2177 The Seagull Nebula in Monoceros This beautiful nebula is at the border between the constellations Monoceros and Canis major In addition to the nebula itself, the image future 2 open clusters, NGC 2335 and NGC 2343 (down left corner). I was able to capture the shockwave of materials emitted by the double star FN Canis Major (HD 53974), scientists can't explain for certain how this shockwave formed, but they believe it's the interaction of strong solar winds with the dust in the nebula that formed it. Overall this image is composed of just above 8 hours of exposures I would love to hear your thoughts! Technical details:Mount: SkyWatcher EQM 35 ProScope: TS Optics 80mmCamera: Full spectrum modded Nikon D3400Guide camera: ASI120MM miniGuide scope: Svbony 60mm QHYCCD Polemaster Filter: Optolong L-enhanceStacked in DSS, Edited in Pixinsight and Photoshop 2022 You can find more of my images on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/omer_astrophotos/
