Description

This wide angle of the M78 region in Orion was imaged between Jan 04 and 09, 2024.
95 minutes of integration, 4x5minutes Lum, 5 x 5minutes each R, G, B.  The scope operates at F2.8,
so it gathers data quickly.  Distance to these objects is about 1,300 light years.  This captures only
a small part of Barnard's, but it makes for an interesting image.
Imaged remotely from i Telescope's Chile Site.
M78 was discovered by Pierrie Mechain in 1780.             Regards, Tom Schmidtkunz
