The Classic M31 in HaLRGB

It was such a nice clear, crisp, and calm moonless night that I had to image something, so I decided to go for a classic. I was able to get over 4hrs of RGB data at my parents bortle 4 house. Quick process in Pixinsight. Once I get a luminance channel, as well as some H-alpha, I'll put more of an effort into processing. Such as saturating the stars separately, and taming the halos around the blue stars caused by not so great seeing. I'm sure the extra channels will add detail as well since this image was taken in bin 2x2.

Description: I ended up getting lucky last night and was able to grab 2hrs 21mins of luminance data before the clouds rolled in to add to the RGB data I got the other night. This version is properly color calibrated, and I went lighter on the saturation for a more natural look.

Description: Just a few adjustments to the LRGB image. A friend pointed out the red was a tad high in the histogram, making me realize I never calibrated my screen after a recent factory reset due to a hard drive crash. So I did my best to fix it, as well as other tiny adjustments, because I can never resist messing with an image when I have it open in PI haha.

Description: Added another hour of LRGB(15mins each) from a bortle 2 dark site. Also was able to color balance much better than before, so no red or blue hues going on with the back ground. Now I just need to get some Ha data...and learn to blend it with the red with pixelmath.
