Description

Barnard 312 is mixed in among several other cataloged nebulae, such as
  • LBN 63
  • LDN 374
  • LDN 370
  • LDN 379
  • LBN 69

Located in the constellation Scutum near the heart of the Milky Way, the dark nebula complex appears somewhat like a mushroom, with a thick stem and wide, sharp cap.

One of the most fascinating parts of this image is the little blue orb near the center right of the image.

I've tried pretty much every single catalog within the Pixinsight AnnotateImage script, and nothing is able to identify it. I'll be digging a bit more, but I'd love if anyone has some input on what this is.

Title: Unidentified Blue Bubble in Barnard 312

Description: I've tried annotating this object from pretty much every catalog available in Pixinsight, and haven't come up with anything. Anyone know what this is?
