Description

IC 342, aka, "The Hidden Galaxy", is a decent-sized, close (if you consider ~10 million light-years away as, "close") spiral galaxy that glows at 9th-magnitude.  It would likely glow substantially brighter were it not for its placement close to our galactic plane and the resulting interference from dust.

Nevertheless, it is a rewarding object for imagers.
