Description

Discovered in 1787 by William Herschel, NGC 7635 (The Bubble Nebula), is an H II region emission nebula located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. The "Bubble" is created by stellar wind from a massive central star (catalogued SAO 20575). The nebula is near a giant molecular gas cloud, containing the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star causing it to glow. Processed in Ha.
