Description

Maybe my best image up to now, or, on par with my M51.

Surprised about how bright this emission nebula is; even brighter than the nebulosity around the Horsehead; kind of as strong as the Flame.

No dual-band filter was used; will start using one very soon, and, I will probably have to add more data to this, because it looks too amazing; problem is, this target only comes into view around 1 or 2 AM (at the time of posting this), so I either have to stay up late to start an Autorun (which I don't plan on doing again), or wait a few months until the target is reasonably in view.

A word that comes to mind when I see the image is, "dramatic", and I like the dramatic theme, plus a touch of the sense of realism which is also present in this image. Made the stars look golden and blue, which gives more of the sense of professionalism in the image. Tried my best on contrast. And this time, Graxpert failed me, and so did DBE and ABE, and GradientCorrection, so, something else came to mind: "ahh, yes, the Photoshop Camera Raw Dehaze slider!), and it worked perfectly.

Bortle 5/6.
