Description

This image is the result of first light with my "New-to-Me" AP130EDFGT scope. I swapped out the 2.7" focuser for the 3.5" and also used the Quad TCC.  The scope rode on the RST-135E which handled it pretty well, though IMO, is probably a bit much for the little mount.  Weight wise it is within spec and it is what I have work with at home as the MYT is now remote, so that's what we are going with!

I collected data over 2 nights with the first using the setup on the Tri-Pier and a guide scope (could't find the OAG). The second night I moved it onto my pier in the backyard observatory AND also found and used the OAG . I really didn't notice very much of a difference between either setup image wise.  We had a little better seeing the second night, but that is not saying much as the seeing here is rarely ever great.  I went with 3 minute exposures as I wanted to make sure I had usable data and I wasn't sure if I could trust the mount.  I will push it to 5 minutes next round as now that we have done a couple nights, I don't think it will be a problem. That all being said, I am VERY pleased with this scope (no surprise there, lol)!  I look forward playing with it as the nights allow.
