Description

This image may look like a regular Heart Nebula, but it also contains a very interesting object WeBo 1 at the top of the image - it looks like a little blue Saturn.
This object is barely visible on most of the images of the area, but I was able to bring it up in processing.
I noticed it while processing the image and thought that it was some kind of artifact, so started going through the stacked channels and individual frames and it was right there.
Then I started looking through other images of the area and saw that most of the images were also showing it there, but only vaguely.

WeBo 1 is a young barium star surrounded by a ringlike planetary nebula and was only recently recognized.
It has a remarkable thin-ring morphology, was discovered serendipitously on Digitized Sky Survey images. The central star is found to be a late-type giant with overabundances of carbon and s-process elements. The giant is chromospherically active and photometrically variable, with a probable period of 4.7 days; this suggests that the star is spotted, and that 4.7 days is its rotation period.

This image was sitting in my staging area for longer than a year because I did not like the colors and stars were too much undersampled.
I had to do a full reprocessing of this data, starting from stacking with drizzle 2, to give this data justice. With drizzle 2, the resolution of this image is equivalent to a 4 panel mosaic, taken with a ~750mm telescope.
