Description

NGC-5367 & CG12: NGC 5367 is a reflection nebula associated with the cometary globule CG12 in the constellation Taurus. This nebula was only discovered in 1976. The coloration is given by the two blue stars of the binary system h4636 (stars of spectral type B4 and B8).CG12 is a cometary globule (actually a cloud of gas), in this image we see mostly its dark and dusty head, its tail being weak. These globules would be spherical clouds that were sculpted by the energy released from a nearby supernova, then its shape was worked by the strong winds and the radiation of massive and hot stars.
