Cosmic Canvas: Milky Way Majesty Above Kutch's Ancient Landscape

Kutch is a very ancient landscape, housing relics dating back from the Triassic period (250-201 million years ago) to the Cretaceous era (145-66 million years ago), a time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Originally attached to the African peninsula, the Kutch region, along with the entirety of peninsular India, separated around 180 million years ago, gradually drifting northward until it collided with the Eurasian plate, eventually contributing to the formation of the Himalayas.. Throughout this transition, the area underwent significant geological changes, including sedimentation, volcanic and seismic activity. Today, this region boasts a stunning and enigmatic landscape, concealing numerous historical mysteries, as well as vast reservoirs of oil and natural gas. Capturing the Milky Way against this backdrop evokes a truly awe-inspiring sensation.
