Description

Minkowski 2-51 is a small PN in Cepheus. Its diameter is only 47" x 38", so pretty small. There are two stars with mag. 14,5 and 15,5 visible in the PN, but the real central star is 20,4m. Due to this reason the two brighter stars very likely are foreground stars and dont belong to the nebula.

Nearby (30 arcmin) is another Minkowski - M2-51 which has a diameter of only 18" which I wanted to take a picture already, but so far it failed, out of what reason ever.
