Description

The Copernicus crater is lit by the sun from an altitude of about 70 degrees, so you can still see the albedo, but it has a plastic, 3D effect from the subtle shadows. It's a very rich region, with many things coming together when seen in colour. The image was taken with R-G-B-U filters from 700 nm to 320 nm.
