Description

The time-lapse animation is created from 65 recordings between 13:46 and 14:07UT on October 5th 2023. Each recording was 18 seconds long with a framerate of 25 (450 frames) and 2 seconds delay between each recording.

The recordings where obtained using a using a TS-Optics 102mm f/11 ED, Altair Astro 115mm TRIBAND H-Alpha D-ERF, Baader 35nm H-Alpha, Baader SunDancer II 3x Telecentric System TZ-3S, DayStar Quantum 0,4å PE and Player One Apollo-M Max mounted on a ZWO AM5 / ZWO TC40 carbon tripod and guided with Hinode SolarGuider.

The 80 best frames from each recording was stacked in AutoStakkert!3 before they were aligned, sharpened and contrast stretched in ImPPG.

The animation was created in PIPP at 12fps effectively compressing the 21 minutes of duration down to just 5 seconds.
