I've tried this CCD a couple of years ago (never owned one but I borrowed one to try it out). I did like the sensor with its 45k well capacity and quite large pixels. The cooling worked flawless and the unit was put together in a way that indicated quality. The bundled software didn't impress me and as always(?) QHY-drivers can be "quirky" from time to time  This camera has been around for a while and it is strong that it still can compete with never releases. If you are looking for a OSC CCD without breaking the bank this could be it. |

| I have a QHY10. Started my 'serious' astrophotography with it and it performed very well. Newer cameras are way more sensitive, but this camera has been a workhorse for me for a number of years. The only thing I didn't like was the bulky power cable and convertor box that it needs. |
