I usually leave my ASIAIR Plus in station mode.  What I am unsure of, and no manual explains this, but is it best to connect my Android tablet that controls the ASIAIR Plus to the ASIAIR itself or is it best to connect the tablet to my home Wi-Fi router?   Both work, but will one or the other connection produce a more robust signal?

Thanks!
Jerry

Hi Jerry

I use station mode exclusively so my phone can be online at the same time. I have never add any issues with it - but I guess it depends of how far the ASIAIR is from your router and how powerful the signal is

Hi Lasse,

Do you connect the phone directly to the ASIAIR (as it sends wifi like a router) or do you connect the phone directly to your home wi-fi router?  Or, do you do both, depending upon whether the phone is closer to the ASIAIR or closer to the router?

Thanks!

I always use Station mode unless I am travelling. No reason to use AP mode at all if you can use station mode. As long as your ASIair is capable of communicating with your home network, then you can basically control it from anywhere you have connectivity to your home network.

Hi Jerry

I always connect to my home WiFi router. The ASIAIR Plus seems to have a somewhat strong antenna as I never have disconnects. And even if I lost connection the ASIAIR will continue running anyway

OK, Thanks Lasse!  I'll try keeping the Android tablet connected to my home wifi when I image in the backyard..
