Good afternoon everyone. I just bought the Ocal Max and even had it priority overnight delivered, just to find out it doesn't even turn on. I tried 2 different Androids and a Windows PC - neither is showing me a camera picture. I followed the instructions to copy/paste the code into the focus.txt file, but nothing is getting it to work. Did I buy a "lemon" or is there another solution I may have overlooked? If anyone has an idea or advice, please let me know. Thanks in advance! Buyman |

Buyman3375: Please disregard my initial request. After working on this for the last 3 hours, I figured out the problem. Apparently, my 2 Android devices were too old, and not supported by the Ocal. A newer one connected without problems. As for the Windows issue – apparently, my privacy settings prohibited me from accessing the camera, which in return disallowed the app to gain access to it. We're all good. I hope this will help someone else! Cheers, Buyman |

I had similar issues getting an OCAL to work in Windows. Took me a couple hours to realize the software wasn't compatible, but the 'alternate version' worked once I figured out that windows was blocking the camera. |

One more reason the OCAL 3 might not turn on is if you use the USB-A to USB-c adapter and plug the adapter into the OCAL camera, it won't work. The adapter must be plugged into the laptop or tablet, then it will work. |
