hi all has anyone here got experience with vibrations on an Altair Hypercam26M? I've seen issues being reported and solved on the ASI analogue 2600MM, but as I'm facing the same issue in combination with my EdgeHD8, I was wondering if somebody has done similar fixes/replacements? See picture below, left is with cooling/fan on; right is without (you can reproduce these results on different targets; on-off sequences etc). These are unguided images (120sec) on the 10 micron mount with the Edge HD8 (native FL)  |

Hi there, Yes, I had vibrations on my 26M which I resolved by replacing the fan with this Noctua: Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (40x10mm, Brown) : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories It didn't require any soldering and was done in about 10 minutes. Star trails gone. |
