This is my recent work on imaging the Orion constellation from bortle 8–9 zone (100mm lens with a DSLR, total integration: 11 hours, no filter). After star removal process, I did the saturation adjustment on the starless version (the attached image below), I noticed that the color in the faint interstellar clouds at the background region show orange/red. As I saw many examples on the internet are almost color less, is this normal? Does those clouds really emit red color? How can I improve the image? Sincerely, Haggon |

I'd adjust the color of the Flame Nebula and that would/should sort it. Normally people would tweak their colors in order to show it (the dust) pale brown (as it should). |
