Description

Welcome to Part 3 of my Pigs with Lipstick series: Reprocessing my earliest attempts at astrophotography.

IC 443, called the Jellyfish Nebula for obvious reasons is a supernova remnant in a distance of about 5000 light years. The optically nearby star Eta Geminorum makes this interesting region not easy to image - and the halos and micro diffraction artefacts show all the reasons why. Revision C shows my attempt at the time - hiding the artefacts but also much of the nebula detail in the process.
