Description

The Leo Triplet (also known as the M66 Group) is a small group of galaxies about 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. This galaxy group consists of the spiral galaxies M65, M66, and NGC 3628.

This was first-light for my new ASI2600MC Pro. 90 frames, 180s each, from my Bortle 6/7 backyard. I used an IDAS-LPS-P2 filter, but will probably forgo that next time. I didn't take flats at first, and it was pretty bad, so I went back and took 1.75s flats, which gave me an average ADU of ~28,000. That seemed to work well. Processing was all in PixInsight, and on this one I used several of the EZ-Processing Suite scripts, including EZ Denoise, and EZ Star Reduction.
