I finally made it. . .
For a long time I wanted to make a widefield of the Milky Way Center (as far as it is possible in my latitudes).
Here in Central Europe this is not easy because you really need a perfect south view in which even if possible there is no light pollution.
The light conditions on the Brunnalm parking lot are very good, but I still had some trees in my view.
So I sattled my backpack including camera, lens and Vixen-polarie and marched about 500m up the slope to have an absolutely clear view.
In total, I had to complete this path 3 times:
1. 20:30 up the solve and build up the mini setup - down to the parking lot to start my two main setups.
2. At 23:50 back up to start recording - back down to the parking lot- main setups to operate.
3. At 2:10 the twilight started – so up and remove the mini setup before I started the descent for the third time
It was a lot of effort but in my opinion it was really worth it- besides it was a nice night hike.
On the other photo you can see the parking lot of the Brunnalm from above where my friends Marcus, Niko and Dennis are already building up their setups.
It was a strenuous but perfect summer night
