Description

It was probably the first clear night in a month or so. My primary objective for the evening was to test if my fixed-under-warranty Samyang 12 mm fisheye was working good (it was!). I also loaded my SEL90F2.8 macro lens and decided that I'll try how C/2022 e3 (ZTF) looks like. I have zero experience with comets or any DSO so I was not expecting much (and got what I expected).

Due to the clouds and being on the freezing and partially frozen sea side, high wind gusts and next to the coast guard station I only took a few images and the last of them were already partly covered in thin clouds. The zone seems to be stated Bortle 4 years ago but I suspect it's more like Bortle 5 now - especially this close to the coast guard station with all the lights.

Visibly with a naked eye I could not see the comet. With 8x50 mm binoculars I could see a smudge, but nothing else.

Sony A7iii (stock)
Sony SEL90M28G @ f/2.8
Iso 640, 60 sec exposures (total of 4 minutes)
iOptron Skytracker Pro
Blown-out stars, weird colors and bad processing with DSS and Photoshop

I believe that I am not gonna be imaging this anymore so I put some texts on the photo too. Maybe I even estimated the size of the moon correctly.
