Description

M63, imaged from i Telescopes newer Utah site, May 11, 2023.  Very dark sky.
M63 is a galaxy I have come back to often.  It is a 9.3 magnitude galaxy, with an apparent size of 12' x 7', located at a distance of about 29 million light years.
It was discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1779.  Great to image and to observe.
Lots of faint galaxies in the background, at incredibly great distances, I'm sure.
90 minutes integration: 6 * 5 minutes each R, G, B.
Regards Tom Schmidtkunz

New 'D' version of 5/14 improves the background sky quality.
