Description

Early this March, I started building a remote observatory in my backyard.
I finished building this observatory in July with dual RASA 8" rigs.
I could integrate relatively long exposure time by taking advantage of the remote observatory and dual RASAs.
My recent works (from Jul. 2023) were captured remotely with this setup, even though I was in the middle of international travels.

The dome is located remotely from the house, it is around 300 meters.
So, I installed directional antennas between the dome and house, so that the ethernet is connected.

BTW, my location, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, has quite harsh conditions for astrophotographers:
- wide annual range of temperature (-25 ~ +37 degrees in Celcius),
- around a month into the rainy season in late June,
- high humidity in summer (above 95% in Jun.-Aug.),
- microdust from internal and external sources from my country in Spring, and
- Light pollution Bortle 5 - 6 due to proximity to Seoul.
(Update: I have installed Unihedron and the result is Bortle 5 when new moon)
Even though those obstacles, I still continue to enjoy astrophotography.

Clear night!

Description: This is the very first check of the linear actuator. Also, I would like to double-check the interference between the telescopes and the dome.

Description: I couldn't find any open-source ASCOM driver for the dome. So, I just developed it myself.

Please ignore the clumsy UI design. This is only for myself :)
