Description

Orion Nebula M42 is also known as NGC 1976, Sh2-281. It is a diffuse cloud that shines in emission and reflection.
It is the most intense nebula visible to the naked eye from the northern hemisphere.
Eller is popular with amateur astronomers because it is one of the easiest celestial objects to observe.
