Description

The Sadr Region in HOO

This was shot back in late August 2022. I did previously photograph this region back in August 2020, but it was not a great attempt, so I shelved it.

There is quite a bit of Ha regions in this photo, including the nearby Crescent Nebula. I like how there appears to be waves of Ha near the top left that look like ocean waves. I do have to say that this area in Cygnus is very pretty cool with lots of different objects to photograph, such as the Tulip Nebula, WR 134 among others.

Cygnus is pretty low for me here in Australia, with the North America Nebula only rising 17 degrees above the horizon, and what's worse is Cygnus is situated near the light dome of a nearby city.

Can't wait for Cygnus to return in the evening skies later this year.
