Description

I was looking over this capture from last year.  I noticed an unidentified "cluster" in the FoV and just couldn't imagine it had not been seen before.  I love tracking these things down and after searching through Mike Swan's Atlas of Open Star Clusters and then finally Archinal and Hynes Star Clusters I got this designation for it (Revision B).

It was not in Mike Swan's reference because it's not an open cluster.  It was originally cataloged by Lauberts in 1982 where it was identified as open, but was later re-discovered by Djorgovski (1987) and finally confirmed as a globular cluster.
