Description

M106, a majestic spiral galaxy rocking a double set of arms unlike most, is practically ancient at a cool 22 million light-years away. For those keeping score at home, M106 resides in the constellation Canes Venatici, which translates to "The Hunting Dogs."

I'm coming back to this target with my FLT132 after some technical challenges when I was first learning on my GT81.  I have gathered more data with the GT81 and plan to update that photo at some point to hopefully showcase how much better the GT81 is than what I was able to present at the time.  New processing software and a lot more experience on my part will turn the tide there.

I really enjoyed seeing the touch of Ha show up in the tiny NGC4248 galaxy in the upper left.

Hope you enjoy this version.
