Description

The overall image is commonly referred to as the "Shark Nebula"

VDB 149 and VDB 150 are two main reflection nebulas visible in the constellation Cepheus.  The nebulas are blue because of the blue-white main sequence stars that illuminate the gas and dust which also causes infrared radiation.

The dark nebula to the left in the image is Lynds Dark Nebula 1235 that's an Extended Red Emission nebula (ERE). In ERE the dust appears to luminescence.

Only imaged for 2 1/2 hours integration.  The next revision will be with over 7-10 hours total when the skies clear this week.  Bortle 2 skies.
