Description

2 hours 15 minutes timelapse of AR13599 and 13600 in H-Alpha 7th of March 2024

Here's a time-lapse animation created from 368 recordings between 10:18 and 12:33UT on March 7th 2024. Each recording was 18 seconds long with a framerate of 134 (2412 frames) and 2 seconds delay between each recording.

The recordings where obtained using a Coronado 90mm frontfilter mounted on a StellaMira 80mm ED f/10, , Baader 35nm H-Alpha, BF15 w/Beloptik ITF and Player One Mars-M camera mounted on a Sky-Watcher SolarQuest Alt-Az mount.

The 200 best frames from each recording was stacked in AutoStakkert!4 before they were aligned, sharpened and contrast stretched in ImPPG.

The animation was created in PIPP at 15fps effectively compressing the 2 hours 15 minutes of duration down to just 24 seconds.
