Description

NGC55 is a relatively close by galaxy at 6 and 1/2 million light years, in the constellation Sculptor.
It is an SB(s)m spiral.    Imaged this from i Telescope's Australia site, 10/14/2023 and 10/16/2023.
The site is 31 degrees south, which helps greatly as this object is very low in Wisconsin skies.
About 2 hours integration,  6X5 minutes each with L, R, G, B filters.  All filters were binned (1:1).
The scope has an f4.4 focal reducer.   The FOV for the camera is 56' x 56' but the image was
cropped somewhat vertically.    Mostly used Pixinsight.
Many faint background galaxies can be found when you expand the image.  Great object visually.
Regards, Tom Schmidtkunz
