Description

The SH2-115 Nebula is an emission nebula visible in the constellation Cygnus. It is located in the northern part of the constellation, northwest of Deneb. This nebula is an extended region of hydrogen, crossed by a dark band that appears to divide it into two equal parts. The eastern part of the SH2-115 Nebula is dominated by the presence of a small open cluster known as Berkeley 90, with which it is physically associated. In the western part, the variable star α2 CVn HD 196178 (V2015 Cyg) is present. However, the distance of this star from the Sun is significantly less than the estimated distance of the nebula.
