Description

NGC3718 is a highly disturbed spiral galaxy and its unusual shape is thought to be because of gravitational interactions with its nearby galaxy NGC3729. NGC3718 has a magnitude of 11.0 so I needed to be at a darker site to bring out more of the faint detail. Most of my imaging took place during the early hours of the morning when the street lights were out.
